How Alive Are You Living?

For the past month I, Susan, have been leading the Living Alive Phase I Program up at The Haven.

The Living Alive Phase program is one of the month-long core educational programs designed to enrich people’s lives and support them in being more fully engaged and relational in whatever career or life path they are on.

This program was transformational for me many years ago. Now, each year I come to lead this program, and I have the opportunity to test my own aliveness. I am working with a co-leader and in this case my friend Carole Ames. We also have a team of four assistants and interns helping lead the program.

There are often differences in our styles and we get to rediscover the importance of clearing and open communication each time we step into this journey. The better the leaders are at getting real and being willing to get messy, the more creativity and real-ness we can bring to the larger group.

There is very little time off during this period, and I am not able to share pictures and stories of those who are participating. However, this time on my one day off I found myself taking a long walk and taking photos that I found captured a lot of what this month like. I added the images to song I have also found expresses some of this journey.

I wanted to share the short video in our newsletter this week. I encourage to take visit to The Haven website. In addition to The Living Alive program there are some other wonderful offerings!
