The Good and Bad of Ego

Our ego is an integral part of who we are.

In this episode of the Beauty of Conflict, Susan and CrisMarie discuss the good and bad aspects of the ego, pulling concepts from Jill Bolte Taylor and Joe Dispenza’s work to support their thoughts on learning more about our ego and managing it in different situations. In her book Whole Brain Living, Jill Bolte Taylor illustrates four characters that drive human brain processes, extracting aspects regulated by each hemisphere. Susan and CrisMarie locate the way the human ego relates to these categories. On the other hand, they use Joe Dispenza’s latest book to talk about tapping into our energy field to find tools to navigate different contexts where we need to mold our egos. Susan and CrisMarie also share experiences where they’ve felt these connections produce a result in their lives.
