Interview with Jocelyn Hastie: A Cowgirl's Code

Many times it’s risky to ride solo, so why not invite others to come along?

In this episode of the Beauty of Conflict, Susan and CrisMarie are joined by Jocelyn Hastie, an innate leader helping other women increase their self-awareness and create coherence between their values and actions. Jocelyn’s life changed for the better when she moved to the countryside after being diagnosed with cancer. During recovery and working on the farm and her horses, she learned she had given up most of her life to corporate work. She felt inspired to help other women find their way and their authenticity with the lessons she learned. This is how Jocelyn came up with Cowgirl’s Code, a compilation of lessons and values such as courage, balance, and compassionate leadership for a life led by kindness, congruence, and honesty. Finally, they talk about the New Year, New You: The Journey to Authenticity, a two-day women’s event by Jocelyn, with amazing speakers like Susan and CrisMarie, on subjects like connection, forgiveness, and conflict.

Tune in to learn more about the Cowgirl’s Code and women empowering women to be their best selves!

About our Guest - Jocelyn Hastie

Jocelyn Hastie is passionate about helping women increase self-awareness and create coherence and congruence between their values and actions.

After growing up in the city, she focused on climbing the corporate ladder. Over time, she found her life was filled with anxiety trying to keep everyone around her happy.

When she was around thirty years of age, she moved to the country. Living closer to nature, she began to examine her own core values and observe where and when she compromised her identity in “service” of others. She worried that being clear on her boundaries and expectations would upset or offend people, but she took a chance and did it anyway. As she practiced drawing healthy, loving boundaries congruent with her principles, a space of peace grew around her. She became stronger, clearer, and more grounded. People liked her more, not less.

Today, she demonstrates authenticity from the tip of her silver head to the toes of her cowboy boots. Living in the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains, she’s survived Canadian winters, metastatic cancer, and online dating. She supports women in uncovering their unshakeable beliefs and creating a code of behavior to define prosperity on their own terms and guide their days in that direction.
