Most of us think of conflict as something external, usually related to another person and a difference of opinion or philosophy. But the truth is that conflict often starts within ourselves and dealing with internal conflict must happen first.  This episode is how all the things we bury or tell ourselves aren’t important will likely rear their heads later in our lives if we don’t face them.

If you want your organization to successfully embrace your strategic change, focus on the human aspect. That’s right. People will be the ones implementing the change. So, get them involved, listen to them, and work together. If you do, you’ll build tremendous loyalty, trust, and engagement, which is priceless.

Let’s begin by acknowledging an undisputable truth: Change is difficult. For everybody. Plus, it’s often unsuccessful. In fact, a survey done by the Economist Intelligence Unit uncovered that the failure rate for change is about 44%. That’s a lot of wasted time, energy, and money.

“Conflict. Most of us avoid it like crazy. But what if harnessing conflict was your best chance to build trust, transform relationships and create championship teams that produce greatness? What if it’s a healthy thing for a team to erupt so that they can transform from the ashes?”

Conflict is a hard sell. Unaddressed conflict fractures the ‘WE’ of your team, especially if you as the leader have not provided your team with the skills and support to address it in a healthy way. When conflict shows up it creates discomfort and can break apart relationships and teams
